2022: 16 coaches at institution in Johnson County earned on average $38,442

Johnson County’s 16 coaches earned an average salary of $38,442 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the 11th highest average salary per county earned by coaches at Arkansas post-secondary schools during 2022.

Johnson County is home to just one post-secondary school which paid coaches during 2022.

Male coaches of men's teams received $41,290 on average in Johnson County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $40,777.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
