4% of Carroll County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Carroll County recorded an unemployment rate of 4% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 497 people out of the 28,154 living in Carroll County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Carroll County has decreased compared to the 4.5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Carroll County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 11,816 people who had a job during that time, 37 were employed in the Armed Forces and 11,779 belonged to the civilian labor force.
