Mass schedule for Ash Wednesday is 7am at St Ignatius, 5:30pm at Sts Peter & Paul and 6:30pm at St Meinrad.
*There will be no AM weekday masses during lent. Stations of the Cross and mass will start at 6PM on the weekday’s. On weekend masses stations of the cross will be said 20 minutes before mass. No rosary will be said before mass. .
*St Meinard Parish is having a SOUP SUPPER After mass on ash Wednesday. Everone is invited
*Ash Wednesday is one of two yearly days of obligatory fasting and abstinence for Roman Catholics, along with Good Friday., the norms of fasting are obligatory from age 18 until age 59.
*Fasting means a person is permitted to eat one full meal. Two smaller meals may also be taken, but they are not to equal that of a full meal.
*The rule of abstinence from meat is binding upon Catholics aged 14 and onwards.
*Your support of the Ash Wednesday collection February 22, 2023 will directly fund priests, nuns and others in ministry in our diocese who serve in parishes and communities that by themselves would be unable to cover their costs
