Archery classes at the BCC begin again NEXT WEEK!  Have you (and/or your child) signed up yet?FRIDAYS beginning January 27, beginning archers of all ages gather to learn and practice under veteran instructor Kathy Skaggs (better known as Kas) from 3:30-5:15pm.  THURSDAYS beginning February 2, experienced archers ages 11 and up will be getting together to further hone their skills and "take it up a notch."  We're planning on capping off the session with a field trip on Saturday, 4/1, so save that date too!  (You'll need approval to sign up for this class- give Kas a call at 479-841-5343 if you have questions about your eligibility for this session.)WHEN IT ENDS:  If there are no bad weather days, we should end both classes the week before Spring Break (other than the advanced class's trip on April 1, the weekend after school restarts).  If we do get hit with cancellations on Thursdays or Fridays, we'll make up any missed classes after Spring Break.WHAT IT COSTS:  -Membership at the BCC (as little as $10 per month for the whole family- rates vary by length of membership)-$87.50 for seven sessions, divided if you wish into a downpayment of $50 with the remaining $37.50 due on Week 4.-$10 equipment fee (paid in class on the first day) to help reimburse for wear and tear on the arrows, protective gear, targets, and bows that you otherwise get to use without charge.(Compare these costs with taking archery lessons elsewhere in NWA and you'll see what a bargain this is!)BENEFITS:  Archery is one of the best sports for developing a focused mind, fine motor control, attention to detail, and a sense of accomplishment as you improve your own form and accuracy.  Kas and her helpers foster a sense of camaraderie and celebration as well as each archer is encouraged to strive to try their best and improve.HOW TO SIGN UP:  Click the signup button at the bottom of our archery page (https://bcc.berryvillear.gov/archery.html) or stop by the front desk to get registered!
