UNIVERSITY OF THE OZARKS ATHLETICS: Eagles Suffer First ASC Loss

The Eagles and Texas Dallas battled back and forth the entire game only to have the Comets take a 79-69 win in conference play on Wednesday night. After trailing 37-28 at halftime, the Eagles climbed back into the game. Josh Ukpe hit a three and then scored on a layup. Stephfan Tabe added a bucket to pull the Eagles within 48-45. The Eagles continued to hang around and eventually take a narrow 57-56 lead with 9:48 left. But the Comets answered with a 9-0 run over the next four minutes to establish a ten-point advantage. Tylan Jackson led the way with 24 points for the Eagles.

TURNING POINTThe Comets went on a 9-0 run after the Eagles grabbed a one-point lead in the second half.

TIP-INSTylan Jackson had 24 points, the second time he has scored over 20 points this season.

UP NEXTThe Eagles will travel to Abilene, Texas, to take on McMurry December 15 and Hardin-Simmons December 17.
