Hello all!
We would like to cordially invite and welcome you to the commencement of 'The Hope Station', the last installment of the “Where To” Series, a family oriented Pop-Up Mobile Lab with the purpose of connecting the Northwest Arkansas Region to the accessibility of Ozark Regional Transit! Octavio Logo launched the program in 2021, Lakisha Harper Bradley joined in 2022, and I, Isabel Messina joined as an artist apprentice to bring all our talents together for a final Transit Educational Festival!
Please bring your family to two joyous days filled with music, poetry, ways you can contribute your own artistry to the event, an outdoor theater experience, and some tasty food provided by local businesses.
Firstly, on Friday, October 21st, starting at 1 pm in front of the Center for Non-Profits(614 E Emma Ave), right by a vital Emma bus stop, there will be music and vibes provided by HerSetHerSound, an excellent interactive art workshop with four distinct stations called “Stoop Talk” led by Larissa Ramey, an amazing graduate art student at the University of Arkansas, and an invigorating interactive open mic titled Poetic Justice: Speak Your Jewel led by the multifaceted Stacy Harper. All the while you can munch on Southern Barbecue(with vegetarian options) via SecondHandSmoke and the extraordinary Nate Walls, AND there will be a mural wall you can paint on yourself! After all this, we will have a special outdoor movie projected regarding the history of public transit in the United States. Please come enjoy this time with us, and make sure to bring blankets and lawn chairs in case it gets chilly. We will have heaters!
