CITY OF BERRYVILLE: Archery Lesson Signups have begun

WHO: Join us! From third grade to 103, everyone is welcome. We've had moms learn with their kids, senior citizens, third graders, and more.

WHAT CLASS: Archery 101 is for those who have never taken an archery class at the BCC before. Emphasis is on the basics of proper form, learning to aim, and proper attention to safety on the range. We use a variety of creative targets as well as learn to score and shoot on a competition target.

Archery 102/103 is for archers who have already had Archery 101 with Kas. We'll keep working on form and accuracy (that's a lifelong pursuit!) but also delve into some new adventures.

In late fall, those that have completed any of these courses can take our new Archery Explorations-- we'll play with other target sports, make some of our own archery gear, and more!

Private lessons, homeschool classes, birthday parties, and mid-day group lessons are all possible; just ask and we'll see what we can do.

WHEN: Classes begin mid-September and end the first week of November; then we'll have a slightly shorter pair of classes from early November up until Christmas break. Check the signup pages for exact dates.

Berryville public school students can ride the bus straight to the center for our 3:30 pm lessons-- a great solution for busy and working parents!

WHERE: Archery classes are held at the Berryville Community Center's indoor archery range (in the Banquet Hall). Advanced classes may venture outdoors later in their sessions.

WHY: Archery is one of the most ancient sports that requires attention, focus, some physical strength, and consistency. It's a great "flow state" experience that can easily become a lifelong pursuit. People take up archery for many different reasons-- try it and you'll find yours!
