Huntsville issued the following announcement on Feb. 18.
The City of Huntsville will be accepting sealed bids until the 3rd day of March 2022, until 4:00 PM for the purchase of property commonly known as the “Basham Building” at the northeast corner of Polk Square. Property to be sold will include the building and some curtilage around and north of the building. The City reserves the right to refuse any and all bids.
*Property will be surveyed prior to closing.
*Costs of survey will be shared equally between Buyer and City.
*Property shall be sold “as is.”
*Property may be inspected by appointment.
*Cash from Buyer to City at closing.
*Closing within 30 days of completion of survey.
