City of Berryville issued the following announcement on Jan. 11.

It's almost here! On Thursday and Friday morning, two new BCC Archery 101 classes begin to introduce kids and adults 3rd grade and up to the joys and challenges of archery.

We have room for a maximum of ten students per class.

WHY: Archery is one of the most ancient sports and is a rewarding challenge for your mind, your muscles, your focus and control, and your attention skills-- and it's great for stress relief and mental clarity as well! Check it out:

WHEN: Thursday, 3:30pm-5:15pm (Berryville students can ride the Panda bus to get to the center after school.)

OR

Friday, 11am-12:30pm (This is a new class just opening for adults and homeschooled kids!)

WHERE: Berryville Community Center's Banquet Hall. Warm and cozy indoors!

WHO: Anyone from 3rd grade to age 103! We have a bow to fit just about anyone.

WHAT TO BRING: Nothing! The class fee ($80) and a $10 equipment fee means you get to use the instructors' bows, arrows, armguards, finger gloves, targets, and more. Just tie back your long hair and wear closed-toed shoes and we'll provide it all!

Want a spot in one of the classes? Call or come by the BCC and request Archery 101 on either Thursday afternoon or Friday morning.

(If you've completed 101, you're eligible for Archery 102, and that begins on Friday at 3:30pm! Get on the list ASAP-- there are only ten spots!)
