City of Berryville issued the following announcement on Dec. 28.
This is the Official "WHAT'S UP WITH THE POOL?" Post~
As many of you know, we’ve been waiting for weeks for the BCC pool boiler to be repaired. Several parts had to be ordered, and up until this morning, our contractor had not even received confirmation that any parts had been shipped. This a typical situation in MANY different industries right now, but it is especially frustrating when we know it is affecting the health and wellbeing of our members who depend on a heated pool to help them get the exercise they need.
However, we JUST received word that Northwest Control has unexpectedly received a shipment of our boiler parts! They’ll be here tomorrow to begin installation, and if all goes well and no parts are missing from their order, we are cautiously optimistic that the pool’s temperature may begin to rise soon.
We’ll come back to this Facebook post and update it to keep all our Pool People informed as we learn more and the situation (hopefully) progresses. For now, be encouraged! We’re a step closer to a warming pool!
(Once repaired, the pool will still take several days for its temperature to rise to its normal temperature of 86 degrees. CURRENT TEMPERATURE 12/28: 77 degrees.)
