St. Joseph Catholic School Church issued the following announcement on Dec. 26.
Start the secular New Year on a spiritual foundation. Fr. Cassian Elkins, OSB, will direct the New Year's Evening of Recollection "Growing Closer to God: Secrets of the Interior Life" at Coury House. The retreat begins with lunch on Friday, December 31, and ends with lunch on Saturday, January 1. There will be conferences, a chance for the sacrament of penance, prayers, Eucharistic Adoration at midnight, Mass with the monks, and an early New Year's Eve celebration.
