THE BASICS
Abilene, Texas – No. 25 Hardin-Simmons University exploded for 44 second half points en route to a 77-49 win over the Eagles Thursday night. The Cowboys led 33-20 at halftime and then built a 42-24 advantage less than five minutes into the second half. From there, the Eagles had trouble making up any of the difference. The Cowboys hit 49 percent from the field while the Eagles hit 30 percent. Both teams drilled eight three-pointers. Kyron Powell led the team with 14 points. Grayson Nix had a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.
