University of the Ozarks Athletics issued the following announcement on Nov. 22.
University of the Ozarks senior guard Grayson Nix was named the American Southwest Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, it was announced by the conference office Monday (November 22).
Nix, a native of Red Oak, Okla., scored a career-high 37 points on 14-of-22 shooting from the field in the Eagles' 96-94 win over Austin College Saturday. He netted 24 second half points, while going 4-of-10 from the three-point range with nine rebounds and three blocks in the game. This is Nix' second Player of the Week of his career. Nix is the team's leading scorer with a 21.0 points per game average. He is hitting 81 percent from the free throw line and 30 percent from the three-point line.
Nix and the Eagles will hit the road for a game against Austin College in November 23.
