St. Joseph Catholic School Church issued the following announcement on Sept. 5.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the September 11th tragedy. In commemoration, the Parish will hold a Living Rosary on the St. Joseph soccer fields on 9/11/2021 at 2:00 p.m. sponsored by our Knights of Columbus Assembly. Together we will all assemble to form a giant Rosary out on the field, with each participant representing one “bead” of a giant “Living” Rosary. As we pray through the Living Rosary, each person will lead the group in prayer for their “bead.” We will offer our Living Rosary for the repose of the souls lost in the September 11th attacks, for peace in the world, and especially for the health and safety of our local Police, Fire, and Medical First Responders. Everyone in the Parish, including children, are encouraged to participate in this event—especially if you or someone you love is a First Responder. We are working on getting a drone camera to photograph the event from above and need ~100 participants to form the full Rosary. You can use the QR code to the left to sign-up yourself and your family members to be part of the Living Rosary. For further questions about the event please contact the event organizer, Rich Oloffson, at rmoloffson@yahoo.com.
