Cost of college went up for all students at the University of the Ozarks

Tuition and fees rose 2 percent for 2018-19 at the University of the Ozarks, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Arkansas students paid $24,230 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $480 more than the $23,750 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 249 students received grants or scholarships totaling $4.5 million and 183 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.2 million.

Including all undergraduates (872), 740 students used grants or scholarships totaling $14.8 million, and 385 students took out $2.4 million in federal student loans.
