No. 8 Hardin-Simmons clamped down on defense holding the Eagles to 28 percent shooting from the field as the Cowgirls took a 59-44 win on Monday. The Eagles had a strong first quarter in which they led during that span. The Cowgirls would eventually lead 35-22 at halftime. The Cowgirls did extend their lead to 25 points in the second half.
