The men’s swim and dive team finished fifth at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships.

RECAPThe Eagles finished with 288 points. McMurry had 319.5 to finish fourth, while Southwestern University had 766.5 points, Colorado College had 937 points and Trinity University had 979 points. On the final day, Wiley Grantham placed tenth in the 1650 with a time of 18:09.21. Nicolas White placed 13th with a time of 19:12.33. In the 200 back, Ethan Spillers placed sixth with a time of 1:59.37. Tyler Hamrick swam a 2:07.97, Grantham swam a 2:15.98 and Tyler Young swam a 2:26.01. In the 200 breaststroke, Nicolai Van Zyl swam a 2:15.03. In the 200 fly, Spillers placed sixth with a time of 1:59.41. Isaiah Dial swam a 2:11.34. The Eagles placed fifth in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:23.12. Michael Vargas scored 240.55 in the one-meter dive for eighth place. Daniel Sanderson placed ninth with 200.75 points. In the 3-meter dive, Vargas scored 199.75 for eighth place.
